Ingredients
- 2 rolls of puff pastry
- Fresh orange juice
- 2-3 oranges
- Sugar for dusting to taste
- Powdered sugar to taste
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 350 ml of whipping cream for desserts
- 3 tablespoons of icing sugar
- 250g of Greek yogurt
How to make delicious cake
- Take the roll of puff pastry, unroll it and place a 22 cm circle in the center, compress slightly to cut it out. Remove the circle and cut the pastry with a wheel to remove the remaining corners, moving them away from the puff pastry circle. Prick the puff pastry base with a fork and then brush it with orange juice. Now dust the entire surface with sugar. Place the puff pastry directly onto a baking tray with its baking paper.
- Now take the other roll of puff pastry and make another circle, still using the 22 cm circle . Remove the excess pasta and use a pasta cutter to cut out 4 wedges and then another 3 wedges for each part. In total there must be 12 segments.
- Go and brush each segment with orange juice and sprinkle them with sugar. Place them, leaving them on top of their baking paper and place them in a baking tray. Turn the oven on to 200°C and when it is hot, bake and cook for 15-20 minutes.
- In the meantime, take 2 oranges, 3 if small. Grate the peel. Peel the oranges and cut out the segments which you will place in a saucepan together with 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of orange zest and 2 teaspoons of corn starch. Mix everything and cook over medium heat for five minutes, continuing to stir.
- Now, take a bowl and pour in 350 ml of whipping cream and 3 tablespoons of icing sugar. With an electric whisk, whip until stiff , then add 250g of Greek yogurt and continue to whip for a short while.
- Now, take the cooked puff pastry bottom, place the 22 centimeter circle on it again. Spread the entire surface of the bottom with the mixture you have just whipped. Spread the orange cream on top of this and then the yogurt cream on top again.
- Finally, place the already cooked segments on top and in the center where the segments meet, add a teaspoon of orange cream, placing it in a circle.
- Let it cool for 2 or 3 hours. If you consume it after 12 hours, even better. Lift the circle and with the crumbled scraps of puff pastry that you have cooked, cover the cream that is on the edge of the cake.
Dust with icing sugar, cut out the segments and it’s ready to be enjoyed!
