There was a chicken coop in the farm yard, noticing movement in it, the owner decided that his chicken had babies.

When the farmer looked closer, it turned out that there really were babies under the chicken, but these were not chicks, but kittens, which were already about three weeks old. The man could not understand where the kittens came from in the chicken coop, but soon remembered that there was once a stray cat on the farm.

“I could not immediately remember that about two years ago a small stray cat ran to the chicken coop, she spent the night next to the chickens. Perhaps when it came time for her to become a mother, she returned to where she felt safe, ”the farmer speculates.

The farmer was surprised that the chicken took care of other people’s babies. She constantly warmed the kittens, leaving them only to eat, while the cat returned to the children only in the evening, spending the whole day hunting. Not all the inhabitants of the chicken coop liked the new tenants; for many laying hens, the presence of kittens and their mother became stressful and the number of eggs immediately decreased.

“For the cat, I set up a separate house near the chicken coop. The cat and kittens live in a new house, sometimes the cat comes to the chicken coop to chat with the chicken that helped her with the kids,” says the farmer.

The cat is accustomed to chickens and does not even try to hunt them, the man is sure that her kittens will also behave.
