How can orange peels be reused? Here’s what you can create by adding plain table salt to them.

There are products you can live without and others you just can’t live without. The detergents  that we use to clean undoubtedly belong to the latter  . Caring for the home is an essential activity and it is not possible to guarantee satisfactory results if inappropriate cleaning products are used just because they are cheap. In these cases, however, caution is advised because a cheap product does not necessarily mean poor quality, especially if you  resort to the so-called “grandmother tricks”  .

In fact, home remedies are specifically designed to combine quality and savings, and in some cases they also help  prevent unnecessary food waste  . For example, if we talk about house cleaning, the orange peel is  undoubtedly a valid ally. With its use it is indeed possible to create an impressive natural detergent in a short time.

The unexpected benefits of orange peels

Peeling fruit and throwing away the peel is a very common habit, especially when it comes to fruits like oranges.

Often we don’t even think about the fact that the skins hold a  potential  secret that can be used in other areas. However, in reality, sometimes it turns out that this is exactly how it is. With the peels of oranges you can indeed make an effective cleaning agent for washing pots and pans.

First we just have to take a few orange peels and put them in a pot with about a liter of water.  Then all you have to do is add two tablespoons  of table salt ; a spoonful of  baking powder  ; Mix thoroughly so that the ingredients mix together and turn on the stove. Once the water turns an orange color, the mixture is ready.

At this point it is necessary to filter the mixture into a bowl using a sieve   and   add 150 ml of alcoholic vinegar and a bottle containing about 500 ml of detergent. Once all the ingredients are combined, you need to mix them thoroughly.
