Every country has a national dish and Sweden is no exception. Has anyone tried Swedish Meatballs and Potatoes Au Gratin? It is difficult to assess the influence that French cuisine has had on modern Swedish cuisine. So why not put these two magnificent kitchens together?

This recipe is very simple to make and is a different way of serving and cooking meatballs, which are always delicious and loved by everyone. Meatballs and gratin potatoes recipe:
To make this recipe you will need the following ingredients:

The dish:
3 potatoes, peeled and boiled
1 white onion
1 package of ground beef
1 teaspoon of chopped parsley
1 pinch of paprika
1 large bag of grated mozzarella,
béchamel sauce,
salt and
pepper
Béchamel sauce:
5 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 cups milk
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Preparation:
How to prepare Meatballs and Au Gratin Potatoes
Step: 1
Peel and boil 3 potatoes for 7 minutes. Cut into slices and place in the bottom of a round baking dish. Stand other slices upright. Reserve.
Step: 2
In a bowl, combine 750g ground beef, 1 chopped white onion, 1 tbsp. teaspoon of parsley and 1 pinch of paprika. Season with salt and pepper.
Step: 3
Mix, form large balls, and place on the potato slices.
Step: 4
Insert other potato slices between the meatballs.
Step: 5
In a saucepan, melt 5 tbsp. tablespoon of butter. Add 5 tbsp. of flour, and stirring, cook for 6 to 7 minutes.
Step: 6
In another saucepan, bring 4 cups (1L) of milk to a boil. Gradually pour into the butter and flour mixture, bring to a boil, and stirring constantly, cook for 10 minutes.
Step: 7
Season with 2 tbsp. tsp/coffee salt and ½ tsp. nutmeg tea/coffee.
Step: 8
Pour over the meatballs, and garnish with a thin layer of grated mozzarella.
Step: 9
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 15 minutes.
