The ingredients
The ingredients for this recipe are:
400 g of flour
Chocolate to taste
a spoonful of dry yeast
a spoonful of butter
200 ml of milk
a teaspoon of salt
two spoonfuls of sugar
an egg
the grated zest of an orange
The dough
You take a bowl and pour the dry yeast into it. Then we add the granulated sugar and the milk, which we will have cooled previously. Continue by adding the grated orange zest and mix vigorously using a hand mixer.
Now, still mixing well, add an egg and then also the flour and salt. At this point we work the dough first with a spatula and then with our hands, until we have obtained the usual soft dough.
At this point we add the butter and start kneading again.
When the butter has incorporated, pass the dough over onto a work surface to work it for a few more seconds. The next move is to let everything rise after placing the dough in its bowl, covered with cling film, for an hour
Once the hour has passed, we recover the dough and roll it out with a rolling pin until we obtain a large rectangle.
Cooking and making desserts
Using a pastry cutter, we cut 6 strips from the pastry and divide each one in half. Then we let them rise for a quarter of an hour after covering them with a cloth.
Once the 15 minutes have passed, we put the result in a pan that we have placed over a gentle flame, but not without having heated some oil in it.
When the brioches are golden brown, drain them and then place them on a plate lined with kitchen paper.
Once cold, use a skewer to pierce each brioche and let the melted chocolate enter the hole, which we will obviously have placed in a pastry bag.
Once this is done, we dust them with icing sugar and a little more chocolate and then let our children bite into them.
