
INGREDIENTS 400 g (2 ½ cups) all-purpose flour; 10 g (2 ¼ teaspoons) baking powder; 1 teaspoon salt; 250 ml (1 cup) warm milk; 50 ml (3 tablespoons) vegetable oil.
METHOD
- Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl. Whisk to combine.
- Pour hot milk and vegetable oil into the dry mixture.
- Knead the dough until smooth, then form a ball, cover and leave to rest for 20 minutes.
- Roll out the dough into a disk about 2.5 cm thick.
- Cut out 5cm (2 inch) circles.
- Gather dough scraps and repeat until no dough remains.
- Cook the rolls in a dry pan, over medium-low heat for 5 minutes covered with a lid, flip and cook under the lid for another 2-3 minutes.
