The potato is suitable for many preparations. Mashed potatoes, French fries or even pancakes, the tuber has not finished surprising you. In just a few minutes, you can enjoy a delicious meal.
How to make crispy hash browns?
If you have to invite the potato to your plate more often, it’s because it comes in all forms: roasted, mashed or sautéed . It goes very well with vegetables or meat as an accompaniment. Rich in vitamins B and C, potassium, fiber and antioxidants, it is a complete food and source of interesting complex carbohydrates.

To make this easy dish. You will need:
- 2 potatoes
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- 3 tablespoons canned corn
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Provençal herbs

To start, wash and peel the potatoes before grating them into a bowl. Drain the grated potato, pressing it with your hand to extract all the liquid. Then add the corn (our secret ingredient), herbes de Provence and salt and pepper to taste. After preparing this mixture, add 50 milliliters of water until you get a smooth, thick paste. On a hot pan, pour a small amount of vegetable oil. Cook a spoonful of mixture on both sides to obtain golden pancakes! All you have to do is serve with bechamel (a yoghurt to which you have added a teaspoon of lemon juice, cumin, paprika, garlic powder and herbs of Provence, pepper and salt to taste)

As with the hash browns, the ingredients for this other recipe are on hand. To make this quick dish you will need:
- 12 charlotte potatoes
- 100 grams of low-fat white cheese (you can opt for goat’s cheese)
- A spoonful of mustard
- Chives
- Salt and pepper
- Extra virgin olive oil.
The first step is to preheat the oven to 200°C. After washing the potatoes, grease them with olive oil and wrap them first in baking paper and then in aluminum foil. Cook the potatoes for 50 minutes. To check the cooking you can help yourself with the tip of a knife. Next, chop the chives and shallots. In a bowl, mix the mustard, salt and pepper, low-fat ricotta, chives and shallots. Once cooked, cut the potatoes in half. All you have to do is spoon in the creamy sauce and enjoy!
