With a simple trick it is possible to water the plants correctly without running the risk of damaging them.

When you cross the threshold of a house, you are always dazzled  if inside there are flowers and plants  of various species, which enrich the interior by giving it color and vitality. It certainly cannot be denied that a house adorned with leafy plants has a completely different appearance, also managing to instill greater serenity and liveliness to those who live there. However, as all those who have plants at home or outside the garden know,  care is essential  if you really want them to grow healthy and strong. To ensure a long life for our plants, one of the main aspects is, without a doubt, watering, which must be carried out at regular intervals. But that’s not all, since  there are different ways to water : however, only some of these are capable of giving real benefit to our plants.

The trick to watering plants well: this is how

For example, some experienced gardeners recommend a simple trick for the best watering. First you need to get a  plastic bottle  : a Coca-Cola or a Sprite is fine, obviously empty. Why is this element essential? Many people go to water the plants  directly with the hose  , which releases a powerful jet of water that does not guarantee any benefit to the plants. In this way, in fact, there is a risk of creating damage and it is not excluded that they may even be torn off due to excessive water pressure. How to avoid this scenario? The secret is to make a watering can  using only the plastic bottle.

In addition to the bottle, you will need  a needle  (or a very sharp object) and electrical tape. We take the bottle from the bottom and begin to make a series of holes with the needle (or with the pointed instrument that we have recovered). If the bottom of the bottle is especially hard,  the needle can be heated to make it penetrate more easily. After filling the bottom with holes, you can proceed to the next stage.

Take the tube that is usually used to water plants and insert it into the plastic bottle,  sealing everything with adhesive tape. You have to be very careful to weld the tube inside the bottle very well, in order to have a stable watering can.

When to water: never at noon and at night

When the process is finished, just turn on the water to notice how the jet  will gush out  through the holes previously made with the needle. In this way the plants are not mistreated and receive the right amount of water, obtaining only benefits.

With this trick, you’ll probably always want to water your plants. Nothing could be more wrong, since  watering must be carried out at regular intervals,  without exaggerating. Experts recommend  watering your plants  early in the day during the summer, that is, between 7 and 10 in the morning. Additionally, another piece of advice given is  not to water at midday  , since at this time the sun evaporates the water and the plants would dehydrate. Finally, it is not necessary to water plants at night because the roots decrease their metabolic function during the night.
